This was evidenced by the Forrester report “Death of A (B2B) Salesman,” forecasting that a million US B2B salespeople will lose their jobs to self-service ecommerce by 2020.2 In New Zealand, Southeast Asia and India, 81% of professional buyers expect a consumer-grade digital experience from their websites.3 Meanwhile, in the second leading manufacturing nation, China, the B2B ecommerce industry’s value is set to reach US$350 billion by 2024,4 while Forrester forecasts the US B2B ecommerce to be worth $1.8 trillion by 2023.5
