Rohrbach/Ilm December 8, 2015: German companies are optimally prepared for global competition: According to the latest WEF Global Competitiveness Report, Germany occupies fourth place after Switzerland, the US and Singapore out of 140 countries surveyed. The survey on 500 German companies – both listed companies and privately-owned companies – by Statista and the business magazine Focus, confirm this. The winners’ secret to success is creativity, innovative spirit, the ability to have long-term visions, an appreciation of quality and the necessary flexibility to react to ever-changing market conditions.
According to Statista and Focus, the 500 German growth champions – among them Westwing and windeln.de – are all characterized by high competitiveness. This can be attributed to these three pillars: an excellent education and training system, a broad mid-sized sector with highly-specialized technical know-how and a high degree of innovation. It is striking that there are three German states with a particularly high number of growth champions. Berlin holds first place with 23 champions, followed closely by Hamburg and Bavaria with 21 champions each. When comparing the states, Bavaria actually holds first place with 21%. Focus editor-in-chief Ulrich Reitz comments: “Germany can certainly be envied right now. In this country, the signs all point to growth: +1.7 per cent in 2016 and in 2017 as well. The 500 growth champions prove how much creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and innovative spirit there is in Germany.”
With the revenue of its German GmbH (Ltd), the owner-managed software manufacturer Contentserv is among the growth champions of 2016.
