The Job Position Summary

The role of the Operations Manager is to ensure that all the parts of the production process come together and deliver the correct quality of final product. By liaising and understanding all aspects of production, Operation Managers should oversee the quality of outputs. Ensure that a strong reputation is maintained in the marketplace and a conduit between different departments providing important feedback and communication. Responsible for ensuring that final products meet strict quality standards set by organization regulation.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that communication between departments is ongoing and utilized to maintain an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Support the company in production planning and making sure the business is adequately resourced.

The Requirements:

  • Result Oriented with knowledge of Retail/PIM/MDM functions
  • Understand the scope of project after analysing business processes and developing transition/execution plan for identified processes.
  • Directing / managing the Project effectively and Client Interaction
  • Defining the scope of the project and timely delivery with quality
  • Monitor report & analyse the quality of problem handling including compliance to agreements on individual problems & design
  • Assign problem related work to involved deliver SME’s
  • Actively share/develop innovation & automations for continued improvement
  • Identify root cause, major problem reviews & present findings internally.
  • Providing a leadership support function to teams and motivating staff to achieve production goals.
  • Managing budgets and costs effectively in respect of the planning process.
  • Training of staff and managers to ensure that everyone is performing adequately in their role.
  • Acting as a liaison to senior management and board of directors to keep them up to date with shop floor matters.
  • Ensuring key performance indicators are in place and production targets are met.
  • Implementation of any new policies and procedures relating to the production process.
  • Introducing and managing in-house IT systems ensuring that they are fit for purpose.
  • Comfortable with technical communication and a strong ability to explain them in simple, clear messages to a broad audience in an engaging manner
  • 8+ years of Operations management experience.
  • Experience in the software industry, especially in the PIM/MDM/CMS/eCommerce area is a plus
  • Effective time and project management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, collaboration and networking skills including cross-cultural abilities.
  • Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels of the organization and work well in highly matrixed organization.
  • Experience in collaborating globally international counterparts is beneficial.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • German language linguistic skills and work permit readiness will be a plus
